Insulate a New Pole Building

When pole barns / posts frame buildings are insulated at the time of construction, typically 3″ or 4” layer of faced fiberglass insulation is placed between the outer sheeting and the wood framing in the roof and walls. It is placed over the top of the wood framing before the outer skin is secured into place. A double layer can also be added to the inside of the framing for additional R-Value.
